Two Stirling youths charged in Halloween fire

STIRLING - RCMP have identified two young offenders as the persons responsible for setting bales of hay on fire in Stirling in the early morning hours of November 1.

The two youths have been made to clean up the mess they made of the streets.  The youths and their parents attended a formal meeting of the Stirling Fire Department on November 4.

Fire Cheif Scott Foss is hopeful this will educate the kids and stress the severity of their actions and the consequences the could have faced by setting these fires.

Trunk rider injured

RAYMOND - A young female was riding in the trunk of a car when the male driver backed into a power pole.  She received facial and dental injuries and the driver has been charged with reversing unsafely and allowing a passenger to ride outside the vehicle compartment.

The driver back onto private property and caused $1,000 damage.

Police investigating break-in

DEL BONITA - RCMP in Raymond and Magrath are still investigating a break-in that occurred late last week in Del Bonita.  The Del Bonita LDS Church was broken into on Halloween night.

A TV/VCR, a VCR, a monitor, modem and a satellite receiver were taken.  No suspects have been named yet and police are still investigating.  A blue and white half-ton was noted at the Church on the Friday afternoon.  Anyone with information can contac the RCMP detachment in Raymond at 752-4747 or Crimestoppers at 320-8477.

Lethbridge man charged with Magrath theft

MAGRATH - RCMP have charge a Lethbridge resident with theft.

Chad Archibald, of Lethbridge, has been charged following an investigation of theft of gas card lock keys from Southern Alberta Agri Services in Magrath last June and the subsequent use of the keys at the Blue Goose Gas Bar in Magrath.

The value of the stolen fuel is approximately $450.  Archibald has been released and will appear in court January 12, 1998.
